The following is a list of things you can do for yourself to brighten the day. Everyone can incorporate these in to their daily lives as the daily grind of life can be hard for us all.
Walk in the park
Manicure
Doing the thing you are procrastinating on doing
Taking a long bath
Pedicure
Buying that handbag you have had your eye on for months
Going to church and lighting a candle for a loved one
Taking yourself on a date to the cinema
Call an old friend you haven’t talked to in ages
A long sexy kiss with whoever you are seeing/dating/married to…..
Getting your hair blown out
Going to see an exhibition
Prayer
Taking yourself away for a week-end
Leaving work on time
Sending THAT email you have been putting off
Taking a bike ride
Taking a lesson in knitting/sewing…or any other craft

Turn the music up and DANCE IT OFF!
Write a list of 3-5 things you are grateful for at the end of the day for a whole week and see how it changes your perspective
Eat your 5 fruit and vegetables a day

Bake some goodies and bring them to work…coworkers will love you forever!
Read that trashy novel just for fun
Wake up naturally…forget the alarm …maybe just on the week-end though!
Get a massage
Smile at 5 strangers
Buy yourself a bouquet of flowers

Have that cry you need to have
Volunteer
Be a tourist in your own city
Take yourself to a coffee shop and read the Sunday papers
Start a ‘Star File’…every kind thing someone says or writes to you goes in the file and when you are having a bad day reread them
Pay complete attention to something you usually do on autopilot
Fix that small annoyance that has been driving you to distraction for weeks
Unplug for an hour-no phones, no laptop, no tv.
Play with your children
Get out of your comfort zone and do something that scares you a little
Delete the haters on your social media
Go for a run…or walk…whatever you prefer
Get 15 minutes of sun
Laugh until you cry
Give yourself a treat, have that something sweet.
Use your commute for a “Beauty Scavenger Hunt.” Find five unexpected beautiful things on your way to work.
Help a stranger…if you see someone struggling with their bags just offer to help
Get positive feedback. Ask three good friends to tell you what they love about you.
